Yay, Beast Mode!

Yesterday, Michael Morse hit his first home run of 2012. I’m assuming there will be many more.

After Sunday’s loss to the Yankees, Morse had asked manager Davey Johnson to drop him in the lineup because he hadn’t been hitting since joining the team on June 2. Johnson denied the request and instead offered a pep talk. Morse also took extra batting practice before yesterday’s game.

Whether it was the pep talk, the practice, or just the passage of time, it was nice to see Michael enjoy a 2 for 4 day, including a home run that also scored Ryan Zimmerman.
