Wooo hooo! That was fun
Love love loved that 8th inning explosion to spear the fish in last night’s 10-7 win over the Miami Marlins.
I had a friend visiting from out of town, which meant my annual night in the President’s Club. I’m convinced that Kristen and Jenn in the P-Club is good luck for the Nats. Last time we were there? Ryan Zimmerman hit a walk-off grand slam to beat the Phillies.
As far as last night’s game goes, here’s a special hat tip to Danny Espinosa, whose 3-run blast had us jumping up and down and forgetting some of the defense we saw in the earlier innings.
And how ’bout Adam LaRoche’s 2 home runs. Nice!

Caught stealing
With today’s 5-4 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Nationals brought fans another exciting ending. Out of 15 wins so far this year, seven have been by one run.
It’s fun, but it may kill me.
Bryce Harper put on a hitting show, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored and an RBI. And Ian Desmond triggered the victory horn when he hit a 2-run, walk-off home run with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.
Great stuff, but I also liked the rundown in the top of the ninth, which erased a D-backs baserunner and yielded my photo of the day.
