Yesterday’s loss to the Mets was a drag (and damn, I’m sick of melting in the heat and humidity), but we still lead the Braves and the Mets in the NL East by 3.5 and 7 games, respectively.
Between you and me? I found myself cheering just a little for RA Dickey, the Mets intriguing knuckleballer. I know, what can I say? I’m a sucker for people who do it their way and realize success.
Dickey didn’t pitch his best against the Nats (he gave up 10 hits in 7.1 innings), but he’s still one of the best stories in baseball.
